During 3 days, the men’s and women’s teams will compete for the cup. (When possible these days will be expanded.) The games will be played according to the FIL rulebook, with the exception that the games last 2 periods of 20 minutes (40 minutes total) with a 5 minute break.
All gamedays are on Saturdays, the specific data are stated on this site. These data have been chosen in accordance with the NLB and DNT programs so that there is no overlap. This way everyone has the opportunity to play.
The Dutch Lacrosse Cup is a tournament based on the draft system. This means that players from all over the Netherlands, but also foreign countries, can register and enter a pool. Each year, the draft captains from this pool will compose the teams by means of a “blind draft”, which means that the order of player choice will not be disclosed. Everyone who signs up will be divided among the teams.
During the first two days of the tournament, a pickup game will be held for both ladies and gentlemen in the Olympic format. This way one can try this format and provide feedback to the NLB if necessary.
Since the DLC is a tournament, new rules could be tested here. If this is the case, this will be communicated clearly in advance.
The final day of the tournament will be concluded with an award ceremony and BBQ!
